Welcome to The Wood Shed Pizza

The Wood Shed was created by Louth residents Scott and Dawn with the desire to provide restaurant quality food to take away.

Scott trained at the Grimsby institute, completing his NVQ in food preparation and cooking and worked at the Brackenborough hotel, The Blue Bicycle in York and Kenwick Park Hotel, joining the kitchen at The Greyhound Inn in 2007. He became head chef in 2008; a role he stayed in for 10 years.

Look out for weekly specials posted to our Facebook page.

We take pre orders each day from 3pm, this can be done by calling 0784 555 1 555.

Gluten free orders must be placed before 5pm.

Fresh Ingredients

All of our food is made from the freshest ingredients with our salad and vegetables provided by J.Shaw and Sons.

Our pizza dough is made from scratch every morning along with our sauces. Meat for our pizza toppings are fired in the wood burning oven.

We use 100% mozzarella on our pizzas. Nothing we use is frozen and the only thing we deep fry is our proper chips

Vegan and gluten free

We offer vegan cheese for our pizzas as well as vegan style feta and Parmesan for our salads.

Gluten free bases are also prepared In house and made to order (pre-order before 5pm).

We are happy to discuss any dietary requirements and food allergies over the phone and will do our best to accommodate them or propose alternatives.

Environmentally Friendly

At the wood shed we are committed to becoming as environmentally friendly as possible. Our wood is from a 10 year replanting programme and seasoned to produce less smoke.

Our packaging is plant based fully biodegradable and compostable (yes even those "plastic" mayo tubs, they are actually made from corn-starch).

Recyclable

Pizza boxes can not be recycled due to oil and food debris. Most take years or even decades to break down when sent to landfill but ours take weeks. Our card boxes for side dishes cost us a little more but again take weeks to break down unlike polystyrene containers that will last over a million years. We sell drinks in recyclable glass bottles and we will continue to look for ways to lessen our environmental impact.

At the wood shed we don’t think great pizza should cost the earth.
